Summer entertainment from Berkshire businesses
Updated: Jun 28
Stuck for things to do with the kids this summer? Check out these ideas from businesses run by mummies and daddies in Berkshire.
The summer holidays are officially here. Eek!
Did anyone else find the last day of school totes emosh? When I looked back at pictures of Jack starting Reception Year it shocked me how much he's grown up. He's definitely not my baby anymore.
We've now got six weeks ahead of us to fill. A part of me is really looking forward to having Jack around more. I do miss his company when he's at school. Erin does too. However, honestly, another part of me feels quite anxious about the many days ahead. Not only is the work-juggle a worry, but I know the sibling squabbles will test my patience too.
You'll probably have realised by now I'm a last-minute organiser (I was buying teacher gifts with just days to go). So when I've been chatting to other mummies about the summer holidays I was alarmed to hear they have schedules and lists. I don't know where they've found the time to do it. Even though it's clear I need to befriend these mummies!
So, this week I've been focusing my efforts on sorting our summer. As I've started looking there's lots on for families in Berkshire. We're a lucky bunch. I'm always keen to support local small businesses. The big corporate companies' get enough of our money. So, I've compiled a round up of summer holidays events and ideas from businesses run by local mummies and daddies.
